As many of you have found out by coming by or calling, we have been out of propane gas. We switched suppliers so that we would be able to continue to have the best prices around on propane. The switch took a little longer than we anticipated. However, we have the new tank filled, power working and are ready to get those bottles filled for the upcoming Alabama Football Game. We know many Roll Tide fans do tailgate parties and rely on us for their propane. We thank you all for your loyal business and look forward to serving you soon.

On a side note: We will be closed Monday September 6^th 2010 for the Labor Day Holiday. We will open back up at 8:00 a.m. on Tuesday September 7^th 2010.

These last few weeks we have seen the temperatures climbing here in Tuscaloosa County and they are going to keep doing so. In order to keep your home cool and keep your a/c unit as efficient as possible routine maintenance and cleaning is very important. When your a/c pulls the hot air from your home in to cool it and re-circulate, it removes most of the dust and other air pollutants. This means that you will acquire some dirt, dust and debris during normal use and even in you have a filter in a return box in your floor or in your furnace if it is a split system unit, some smaller dust and dirt passes through. This passing dust will build up on top of and between the small aluminum fins of the coil and when there is any type of restriction of the air flow it causes the unit to work harder to move the air. This can also cause your a/c to freeze up and make it stop working. Once it is frozen, you have to cut the unit off and let it thaw and in the heat of summer, it can take hours and in that time the temperature of your home will jump drastically. Our certified HVAC team will come out and do a complete inspection of your unit, clean the coil with a special coil cleaner that will dissolve any dirt and dust particles even the ones so small the eye cannot see. A clean unit is an efficient unit and in these hard economic times we know everyone needs to make their monthly bills as low as possible. We hope that everyone is having a safe and productive new year so far. As many of you that follow or site know we have been trying to do as many things to connect us in the business with you the customer and user. We have a customer support page on GetSatisfaction for any suggestions or ideas you may have, a page on Twitter for quick updates, a Facebook page where we post quick updates as well and other things, a few small blogs on sites like posterous and tumblr as well. I am always looking for new technologies as the webmaster that will allow us to get input and ideas from our customers and users. There is a new service I have discover called Skribit you can see a widget on the right hand side of the site under our @Almobile on twitter section. What this does is let you the user suggest the topic you want us to write about here. If you have a simple question you want answered then the GetSatisfaction page would be the best place for that. If there is a topic to do with mobile home parts, camper parts or anything else to do with mobile homes you can suggest that we write about that topic. This is a new thing I have just setup, so I do not have any idea as to the amount of input that we will receive. I will try to write a news post or informative post on any topic that fits within our subject area. So please feel free to make use out of all of our tools at your disposal and again if you have any ideas or feedback you want to get to me you can do that via our GetSatisfaction page by clicking here of the Feedback tab on the left hand side of our website. Propane Gas Repaired and Selling Fast

We have always been one of Tuscaloosa Counties largest Propane Gas (L.P.) sellers since opening our doors in 1982. We do not make deliveries, but fill the smaller portable bottles. The limit on the size of a legal transportable tank is a 100# tank that hold 23.6 gallons of propane when empty. Last week when it was announced on the news that we may get snow in the area we had some of the busiest days of pure propane sales that we have had in many years. As a result of this our pump that allows us to pump the gas from our large storage tank into the smaller bottles and meter it out was down for almost a full day. We contacted out supplier and after working with them on this for a full day we are happy to say our propane filling station is back up and fully operational. We have always prided ourselves on being competitive with out propane prices and always fill the tanks to the 80% capacity allowed by law. This is because propane is a liquid gas that expands at a very rapid rate and needs the 20% of “empty” space for that expansion. It is a secure, safe way to get the RV parts you need delivered to you wherever the road may take you. Holiday Hours

First I want to wish every a happy and safe holiday. I hope everyone enjoys their Christmas, Hanukkah, Kwanzaa or other holiday they celebrate this time of year. I also hope everyone has a safe and fun New Years. I wanted to let all of our customers know as soon as possible our holiday hours and days we will be closed so that you can arrange to get what you need before we are closed. I know many of you rely on us for your propane gas, mobile home parts, camper parts and your HVAC work. Our HVAC team has been hard at work fixing and servicing mobile home furnaces this winter. They also just finished another course on continuing their education so that they can keep up on all of the new technology and changes in mobile home heating and cooling. We are truly blessed in many ways. We have an great staff and our HVAC crew is one of the best for mobile homes in this area. Paul Marcum, our lead HVAC technician has been with us for over 15 years doing nothing but mobile home heating and cooling. This is a family owned business as most of our customers know, and he is as much family as the rest of our staff. My grandfather started this business in 1982 with a very simple goal in mind and that is to sell quality mobile home and camper parts and supplies at great prices. I was only four years old at that time but I can remember being a young boy going into his shop and seeing the way he interacted with customers. He genuinely wants to help everyone and his dedication is one of the qualities I respect most in him. You can now login our site using OpenId, MyOpenId, FaceBook, Twitter, Windows Live (Hotmail and MSN) and your Google account username and password. This makes leaving comments and other user only options much easier. You can also still make an account for just here as you always have been able to as well. This is just one of the many new options we are testing for our online setup.To see more about this click on the link about openid above. It will tell you about the secure way it is being used on thousands of web sites already. We have known about this technology for awile now but wanted to allow it to go through the beta stages before implementing it on our site so that our customers safety and information would not be at risk. We hope that this is just another way to make finding out information, leaving feedback and connecting with us easier. After a few tense days in the hospital, the owner Mr. Wilson is now home and recovering nicely. We would like to thank all of you who expressed concern and prayed for his recovery. It was truly touching how many of you noticed his absence and were genuinely concerned about his health and well-being. Although he will be recovering at home for the next week or so, he is still an important part of the business, still the owner and sole proprietor and will be back as soon as the doctor clears him. I can assure you because I speak with him often he is as anxious to get back to work as many of you are to see him back. As many of you know this is a Family ran business and we like to think of our customers as family. We are all worried about his health and well being and praying for his speedy recovery. Until he returns all of us employees are banning together to make sure we can deliver the same quality service that he has upheld for over 27 years. I would like to everyone again for the flowers, cards and just the concern shown for him. He is a very important person in our lives and I am so proud to see how important he is to so many of you. Main site being updated

The setup we have been running on the main website has been in place for over 2 or 3 years. It is and has been time for some serious updating. I know this down time is bad for you, the users and customers and I do apologize. I will make that pages on here for the HVAC, Propane etc as they were on the main site for the in between time. I will also post our hours – 8:00a.m – 5:00p.m. Monday – Friday and 8:00a.m. to 12:00p.m. Saturday. I am going to just do a redirect to this page until the main site is back, and both fully functional and tested. Again, I apologize for any trouble this causes, feel free to send feedback via the Feedback tab to the left, or the feedback area on our Contact Page. Once the main site is up all pages coded and transferred to here will stay available so if you want to go on and bookmark here that is fine. I just did not want our users to have downtime because of an update when we have a perfectly functioning Blog Platform running Right here. We have implemented so many new things over these past 3 or 4 months online. We have the Online Support Through GetSatisfaction, we have the Twitter updates via @almobile, We have the FaceBook page, both a regular one and a business one that you can become a “fan” of, the business LinkedIn page, new RSS links for our updates so that you can get them direct to your email or mobile device or PC RSS reader. If there is something we are lacking, anything you would like to see from us and have not seen, please go to the feedback tab, or our GetSatisfaction page and suggest that new idea. We always love a challenge and try to accommodate any request that are within reason and our capabilities of course.
